PRESS RELEASE

Atlanta Fire Rescue takes you inside the old, condemned fire rescue training center. In the 1990s, a 1950’s elementary school was converted into the fire rescue training center on what was supposed to be a temporary basis. It ended up being a training center for three decades.

Chief Rod A. Smith was a recruit in 1990. Smith shows what it was like in those early years and why they had to shut it down. This means Atlanta hasn’t had a sufficient training center for years now.
