Officials with both The Woodlands Fire Department and The Woodlands Township are concerned about damage to Fire Station No. 5, reports the Houston Chronicle.
The station, which opened in 2003, has unknown damage that has led officials to worry the facility may need either significant renovations or, in a worst scenario, to be completely destroyed and rebuilt from the ground up.
News of the problems at Fire Station No. 5 was first announced to the public during a Sept. 18 public hearing on the 2020 property tax rate for the township as the seven directors argued about the rate and why it should be raised.
