Venice (FL) Fire Station Integrated with City Hall Expansion

An expansion of City Hall is now being fully integrated with construction of a replacement for Fire Station One, reports Herald-Tribune.

Venice Public Works Director James Clinch noted that by combining the two projects, the city could use money from the building fund for stormwater work for the entire site.

Opening up an exercise room in the fire station for all staff to use and construction of additional public meeting space there allow for that too.

The new fire station is being designed as a two-story, 11,000- to 13,000-square-foot, three-bay station with storage space, a lounge, sleeping quarters, a kitchen and a conference room that would be open for public meetings.
