IN THE NEWS: Sharrah Named Streamlight President And CEO

Streamlight, Inc. Chief Operating Officer Ray Sharrah has been promoted to president and chief executive officer, replacing C. Bradford Penney, who retired.

At the same time Streamlight Chief Financial Officer George Collier was given the additional title of executive vice president. He joined the company in 1988 as vice president of finance.

Sharrah began his Streamlight career in 1976 as a part-time employee while still attending college and joined the company full time in 1978 as sales manager. He held a variety of positions in the sales, marketing, and manufacturing departments before being named vice president in 1985 with responsibility for all company operations and new product development.

Sharrah is responsible for obtaining 80 United States patents and 12 international patents for lighting technology that benefit flashlight users across a variety of industries.

“Ray consistently achieved impressive results when he led Streamlight’s operations, and I am confident he will show the same exemplary leadership as president of our company,” said Harry French, chairman of Streamlight’s Board of Directors. “I am looking forward to the continued contributions both he and George Collier will make to Streamlight in the years to come.”
