The City of Williamsburg is asking residents to vote on three design options for a new fire station, reports 3 WTKR.
The city writes to preface the survey, “Williamsburg’s central fire station has reached its useful life as a building. We have decided to demolish it and build a new modern fire station headquarters to meet the needs of Williamsburg 2040 and beyond. The staff and Council solicited proposals from contracting firms interested in designing and building the project. The list has been narrowed to three, and we would like your input on the facility’s look before we make the final decisions. Many variables must be considered before a contractor team is selected. Ultimately, the firm with the best qualifications, capability, and cost structure will be chosen. The information you provide through this survey will help steer the exterior design to fit Williamsburg’s unique character.”
