A new $8.2 million fire station has been dedicated, reports NBC Palm Springs.
The fire station will house a 10-person emergency response crew, garage, ambulance, ladder truck and a new $700,000 fire engine.
The new station was designed to stay in service for the next 50 years and also features dorm facilities, a kitchen, office space and fitness center.
Mayor John Aguilar, the City Council and Cathedral Fire Department officials were among those who attended the dedication ceremony.
