PRESS RELEASE

Bernalillo County Fire Rescue celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony for one of our newest fire stations.

This station will be one of the first new fire stations to Bernalillo County in almost 25 years. The station will provide shortened response times and thus better service to the community we serve on the far westside of the Albuquerque metro area.

We would like to thank everyone who made this possible and look forward to seeing you all back for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Enjoy your first looks at new Station 66.

Legacy Church donates thermal imaging camera to fire department

BCFR would like to thank Legacy Church for the generous donation of this life saving equipment. Legacy Church donated a state of the art thermal imaging camera or “TIC” as we say in the fire service. This piece of equipment aids in search and rescue as well as fire operations. It allows firefighters to see through smoke, find victims, and locate unseen fire in the walls of a structure. Thank you so much for your continuing support of our department.
