Atlanta (GA) Fire Rescue Foundation Gets $1.6M from City for Station Renovations

The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department held a signing ceremony Wednesday at the Grant Park fire station to commemorate more than $1.6 million in funding being given to the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation to support infrastructural improvements at fire stations throughout the city.

“Today is historic for our city and AFRD as it is the first time that the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation has received municipal funding to support our fire rescue station renovations, remodels, and repairs,” said Roderick M. Smith, Fire Chief of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department in a Facebook post.
