Springfield (TN) Fire Station No. 2 Hit Hard by Tornado

The Springfield Fire Department Station No. 2 sustained major damage from the weekend tornado that hit Tennessee. News 2 traveled to Springfield to survey the damage and days later the power of the storm that tore across Highway 41 is evident, wkrn.com reported.

According to storm surveys from the US National Weather Service Nashville Tennessee, the Dec. 9 tornado in Springfield has been categorized as an EF-2 with max winds of 120 mph, 3.23-mile length, and 400-yard width.

The Station 2 firefighters were out of the station at the time the storm hit responding to one call after another.
