See Ventura County (CA) Fire Department Christen New $7.3M Station 20

The Ventura County Fire Department Friday cut the ribbon on its new $7.3 million Station 20.

The facility was built on a 2.3-acre site—12000 Santa Paula-Ojai Rd.—approximately a half-mile west of the current station on Highway 150. The 8,504-square-foot building includes two drive-through bays, two offices, a fitness room, kitchen, dining area, and living quarters for four firefighters.

The Ventura County Board of Supervisors approved the plan in September 2019. Its predecessor was built in 1959 and remodeled in the ‘70s.

“This station will provide critical support especially during wildfires in protecting life and property in Santa Paula, Ojai, and unincorporated areas of the County,” a Facebook post reads.
