Possible Pause on Multimillion-Dollar Wainfleet (Canada) Fire Station

Some members of Wainfleet council think the township should slow down on its plans for a new multimillion-dollar fire station, reports Niagara This Week.

Almost a year ago, township politicians approved the purchase of a piece of property adjacent to existing township-owned land just west of Chambers Corners on Highway 3.

Plans call for a new fire hall and fire department headquarters that would be shared with Niagara’s ambulance service. Niagara Regional Police were also invited to be part of the project, but declined the offer.
