Louisa County officials have approved the final design for a new New Bridge Fire & Rescue station.
The new facility, which will be built at 1856 New Bridge Rd. in Mineral, will house an ambulance, engine, tanker, and the fireboat.
“The New Bridge Fire & Rescue Station will improve service and reduce response times around Lake Anna and in surrounding areas of the County,” the county’s website says. “The area that this station will serve as ‘first due’ is where we have a significant amount of current and projected growth.”
Its expected completion date is spring 2023.
