The City of Midland, Texas, recently met and approved two new fire stations and three new fire apparatus for the Midland (TX) Fire Department. The fire stations are currently out for construction bids.
Fire Station 5 is a more than 50-year-old station that was demolished last month. The replacement structure, built on the same log, will be two stories and feature 11,000 square feet. This station is central to the department’s response area.
The new Fire Station 11 will be more than 13,000 square feet and is expected to help serve both Midland County and the City of Midland as the area population continues to grow.
