Illinois Fire Stations Roll Out Automated Alarm Systems

A federal grant has allowed fire stations in the the Illinois communities of Homewood, Flossmoor, and seven other suburban communities.

The alarm systems are made by US Digital Designs and will wake up firefighters with a softer tone and include visual and vocal cues that are more comprehensive than what is available currently at fire stations.
