Henderson (NV) Fire Department Breaks Ground on Station 87

The Henderson (NV) Fire Department recently broke ground on Station 87, and its construction won’t increase taxes, reports news3lv.com.

Station 87—an 11,000-square-foot, three-bay facility to be built in the 2,200-acre Cadence community, east of Boulder Highway—will cover upwards of 12,000 residential units, the report says.

Officials are optimistic that the facility’s location will cut response times. It will be staffed by a 24-hour engine company and a 24-hour rescue company, and it’s expected to open next December.
