Groves (TX) Fire Department Gets Approval to Build New Fire Station

A Groves fire station that was built in 1957 and has multiple repair and structural issues will be replaced, reports Beaumont Enterprise.

The department has received approval from the city council and EDC to build a new station.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, 43% of U.S. fire stations are more than 40 years old. It would cost an estimated $100 billion to replace them.
