Dexter (MI) Residents to Decide on Fire Station Bond Proposal

Dexter residents will decide on a nearly $10 million bond proposal for fire station, reports

Dexter Area Fire Chief Robert Smith said the department has outgrown the building that was built in 1955.

He noted most modern fire stations include administration offices, separate overnight rooms, storage rooms for hazardous materials, a separate washer and dryer to clean contaminated clothing after serious calls, a dispatch center and space for training.
