Council Votes to Buy Property for Tuscaloosa (FL) Fire Station

The City Council voted to purchase a defunct automobile dealership for land for a new fire station, reports Santa Rosa’s Press Gazette.

The purchase will be for $2.3 million, which is $300,000 less than the asking price.

Fire Chief Randy Smith recommends establishing the fire department’s fleet maintenance, logistics and administrative offices inside 24,000-square-foot building.
