Construction Completion of Beatrice (NE) Fire Station Expected in Fall

Construction of a new Beatrice fire station is moving along, reports SandhillsExpress.com.

Most of the work of late has been on the internal components of the fire station and recently a new communications tower was erected next the station.

Voters approved a half-cent addition to the local sales tax to finance bond issues for the station, which will replace the cramped quarters in the lower level of the municipal auditorium, in use since 1965.
