Commissioners broke ground on a fire station in central Brandon

Commissioners broke ground on a fire station in central Brandon, reports Fox 13 Tampa Bay.

This fire station has been in the works for years and will help provide coverage for a booming area in need of resources.

The facility will be a new, state-of-the-art ventilation system to prevent dangerous particles on firefighting gear from being brought inside.

The station is expected to be completed by spring of next year.
