The Colorado Springs fire department held a ground-breaking ceremony for its newest fire station, reports KKTV 11.
The fire department posted to Facebook, “The CSFD had the ground breaking ceremony for Station 23 today. The building will be both a fire station and radio shop for the city. We are anticipating a July 2022 completion of the station/radio shop. Engine 23 currently is stationed out of our headquarters and has been living in converted training rooms and offices. We can’t wait for the new quarters to be built!”
The estimated cost for the project is roughly $5 million.
