The Cleveland Township (IN) Fire Department will soon open a new fire station. The new station will consolidate two stations into on.

Although the land for the new fire station was purchased 15 years ago, plans to build the station were delayed because of the recession.

The fire department expects the new facility to keep up with growth and an increase in calls. It will provide much more room for personnel and equipment and the department expects it to help streamline operations overall.

The five-bay station will house a new rescue truck and ambulances.
