A Charleston fire station is near completion after several delays, reports Live 5 WCSC.
The fire station is being built next to the Charleston 9 Memorial Park. The pandemic was amongst the factors for delays. The original completion date was December of 2019, but the contractor has pushed that date back one month at a time for more than 12 months.
The city’s Design Review Board will need to inspect the building before the fire department can move in.
