“We’re excited to share that construction on our new fire station is moving full steam ahead,” the department announced recently in a report. “Over the past two weeks, we poured the concrete foundation for our new four-bay station. The station will include a built-in training tower, six resident rooms, and a dedicated training room. Framing has also begun, and things are really starting to take shape.”
This project is made possible thanks to the passage of the 2023 no-tax-increase bond issue, a vital part of the Boone County Fire Protection District’s Capital Improvement Plan that kicked off in 2021, the report said.
“We can’t wait to see this vision become a reality and continue serving our community from this fantastic new facility. Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, thank you for your unwavering support.”
