Arlington (VA) Firefighters Move Into Fire Station

Arlington County firefighters have moved into their new fire station, reports ARL Now.

The fire department posted to Facebook, “The new Fire Station 10 at 1535 Wilson Blvd is now occupied. The old temporary station on Quinn St is vacant but there will be activity there as items are being moved into the new location. Please be aware that emergency vehicles will now be responding from Wilson Blvd and not from Quinn St. Fire Station 10 is a new, high tech, safe and healthy place for our crews to spend their 24 hour shift. Thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.”

Nearly five years ago, the County Board voted to relocate firefighters from an aging single-story station.

The pandemic will prevent giving the public tours. The fire department is planning to share more about the fire station on social media.
