Texas Department Brings on Digitech for EMS Billing Services

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY— Digitech Computer Inc. announced that it has been awarded the contract for the processing of medical transportation billing for the City of Pearland (TX) Emergency Medical Services. Under the terms of the contract, Digitech will provide EMS billing services to process claims for Pearland’s 5,000+ annual transports. Digitech will take over EMS billing from Pearland’s previous provider, and expects their billing systems will provide a substantial increase in revenue from collections for ambulance services for the City of Pearland.

“We’re looking forward to establishing a strong partnership with Digitech,” said Daniel Baum, City of Pearland EMS Chief. “We expect that the efficiency they bring to ambulance billing will enable Pearland EMS to put more dollars into improved equipment, better care, and more community programs.”

“Digitech’s turnkey solution is a good fit for us,” said Bob Pearce, City of Pearland Purchasing Officer, who oversaw the bidding process.

Mark Schiowitz, President of Digitech Computer Inc., said, “Pearland EMS represents an opportunity for us to show what we can do.

Ultimately, when our goals are aligned with those we serve, we help them to be even better at providing the invaluable services that EMTs and first responders bring to their communities.”
