San Diego FD Receives $42K Donation

SAN DIEGO–$42,000 worth of lifesaving resources was donated by The San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation Thursday to local first responders.

Fire Station 10 will be the recipient of this new equipment, which includes six pediatric rescue carriers, 15 apple iPads with mapping software and a hazardous materials air cart.

All equipment was paid for by donations to the foundation.

“When we encounter pediatric emergencies that require the helicopter to perhaps hoist someone along with the paramedic, we really had no capability to safely do that for our smallest patients,” Fire Chief Javier Mainar said.
