Grote Industries introduced a new version of its Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight Conversion Bulb.

The product, according to the company, is designed to operate in adverse conditions where sodium chloride, high humidity and other corrosive elements wreak havoc on most PAR 36 incandescent work lamps.

“Under some conditions, PAR 36 incandescent work lamp bulbs don’t burn out, but fail prematurely due to corrosion,” said Scott Robertson, Grote’s product manager of LED WhiteLight. “Incandescent bulbs are inefficient at best, but our field research has clearly shown that these corrosion-based failures are costing end-users time, money and productivity.”

The Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight Conversion Bulb was introduced in December 2009 as a direct replacement for PAR 36 incandescent bulbs. The new design will be sold in addition to the original model and includes a more robust, sealed, Packard Metripack 150 connector that resists moisture and chemical intrusion.

By changing out the bulb and wiring the pigtail, Grote said users can upgrade an existing incandescent or halogen lamp, transforming it into a 900-lumen LED WhiteLight lamp that lasts longer, shines brighter and delivers better value.

The company said its Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight Conversion Bulb is rated for a service life of 40,000 hours, requires half the power and will provide users with 100 times the lifespan of a traditional PAR 36 bulb at just one-eighth the cost over its lifespan.
