Streamlight, a leading manufacturer of high-performance flashlights for the fire market, is adding 75,000 square feet of space to its Eagleville, Pa., headquarters facility in response to growing demand for its products.
The building addition project began in October and is expected to be completed in May 2008, expanding the company’s total plant size to 165,000 square feet.
The new addition will add 55,000 square feet to the company’s existing 70,000-square-foot manufacturing space, a 75 percent increase. At the same time, the company is doubling the size of its headquarters office and engineering facility with an additional 20,000 square-feet of office space.
“With our long history and solid reputation for making tough, durable, long-lasting flashlights, and with our many advances in lighting technology, we’re continuing to experience very positive sales growth among professional and consumer users alike,” said Brad Penney, Streamlight’s president and chief executive officer.
Streamlight built its existing facility in 2001, consolidating two former locations in East and West Norriton into one headquarters and manufacturing operation, which housed 100 employees. The company’s workforce has grown to about 170 employees.
Streamlight is a leading provider of high-performance lighting equipment for professional firefighting, automotive, law enforcement, military, industrial and outdoor applications.
