The Pumpkin Center Volunteer Fire Department was awarded a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant to purchase a new pumper-tanker to replace an old pumper-tanker that it had acquired from the Missouri Department of Conservation.
This Danko/Freightliner 1,250/3,000 pumper-tanker has been delivered to the Crothersville & Vernon Township (IN) Volunteer Fire Department.
The new fire apparatus features a 3,000-gallon tank and was manufactured by Danko.

The Sullivan (IL) Fire Department's new pumper-tanker served as the backdrop at a press conference recently to announce $9.3 million made available for purchasing emergency vehicles in Illinois.
The pumper-tanker is built on a Freightliner M2 chassis and two-door cab and is powered by a 7.7-L, 375-hp Detroit DD8 engine and an Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission.
