The Solon Springs (WI) Fire Department recently took delivery of a new engine and a new “side-by-side.”

The Darley-built quick-attack fire apparatus built on a Ford F-550 chassis, is used by the department for medical calls; ATV, snowmobile, and automobile accidents; wildland fire; and water pumping points.

The side-by-side was purchased with donations from individuals and businesses. The department applied for a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources grant to add a slip-in unit for fighting wildland fires and carrying patients.
