Weymouth (MA) Fire Department to Purchase New Fire Apparatus

An aging fire engine at approximately 160,000 miles will be replaced with a new vehicle that can hold up to 1,500 gallons of water, reports Wicked Weymouth.

Town council approved a $666,345 appropriation to purchase the truck from Pierce Manufacturing.

Fire Chief Keith Stark said the new truck will replace the fire department’s Engine 2, a vehicle manufactured in 1994.
