Watertown City Fire Department (NY) Takes Fire Apparatus Off Road

The city council passed a resolution to take a heavy rescue fire truck off the road, reports wwwnytv.com.

The truck was mainly used for EMS services. The fire department has moved some of the equipment to a smaller truck and to other fire engines.

A fire union official said the decision hampers the fire department’s ability to serve the community. Mayor Jeffrey Smith¬†did not provide comment.
