The Aberdeen (WA) Fire Department expects to take delivery of two new fire apparatus in mid June and for them to be in service in mid July.

The rigs are built by Pierce on Enforcer cabs and chassis, with one being outfitted with a Sky-Boom.
According to the department, the eight-person apparatus purchasing committee spent about 2 1/2 years researching manufacturers and working on the specifications for each rig.
Total cost for the two fire apparatus is $1.7 million.
