The Savannah (GA) Fire Department recently moved into its new Station 14 at 480 Highlands Blvd., reports fox28media.com.

Officials say Station 14 was funded by SPLOST dollars and added a much-needed facility, as well as needed equipment for the firefighters. The former station was a modular home.

The officials add that the new facility also contains cancer-reduction technology which draws exhaust from the vehicles out of the station.
