Rockford (IL) Building Destroyed by Massive Fire

A vacant building was destroyed in Rockford (IL) in the early morning hours on October 12. The four-alarm fire occurred in a building on the fire department’s demolition list, so they were unable to make entry.

The building was used by the Atwood Vacuum Machine Company.

Officials say the entire building is a total loss and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
