New Jersey Fire Districts Approve Fire Apparatus Purchases

Voters in Deptford and Evesham (NJ) authorized the purchase of new fire trucks.

In Deptford, voters approved the purchase of a new fire truck through the use of $600,000 from the district’s capital reserve account, by a vote of 164 to 74.

Voters in Evesham authorized the district’s $8.3 million budget with 365 in favor and 90 opposed. By a margin of 377 to 80, voters also authorized a $2 million bond referendum to replace a ladder truck and platform truck in the district’s fleet.

The Burlington Township fire district’s $2 million spending plan was authorized by a margin of 166 to 69.
