Nevada Fire District Purchases Two Fire Apparatus

East Fork (NV) Fire Protection District recently housed two new Pierce pumpers.

The two Type 1 engines were placed in service on December 2, 2019, following a push-in ceremony. The Pierce pumpers clost slightly less than $1 million for both.

Each rig has a 1,500-gpm pump and 750-gallon tank and compartments to store contaminated PPE after a fire. A third engine has been ordered and the department expects it in fall 2020.

The rigs are built on Pierce‘s Enforcer cab and chassis and are powered by Cummins L9 450-hp engines. They also feature Pierce’s Husky 3 foam system.
