The Nassau County (FL) Fire Rescue Department recently dedicated its new Station 71, reports firstcoastnews.com.

Station 71, located at 96262 Chester Rd. in Yulee, has been in the works for several years, with department members involved in the design. The county acquired the property through a public-private partnership with Matovina and Associates.

The new digs will house an engine, rescue unit, and tanker. There will also be 11 sleeping quarters, 4.5 restrooms, a common area, and an exercise room.

Nassau County owns the plans for the building, which it hopes to use to design future stations, saving taxpayer money.
