Montague (NJ) Volunteer Fire Department to Hold Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

The Montague (NJ) Volunteer Fire Department is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new firehouse and community center on Saturday, June 26 at 3 p.m.

The festivities begin with the ribbon cutting at 3 at the new digs—277 Clove Rd. Then at 4 p.m. the Miss Montague contest will happen. Fireworks will be shot off at dark, and there will be free ice cream from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The department has been tracking the facility’s progress here, with the recent auspicious message “Moving day is approaching!”

Montague’s current fire station was built around 1950 and lacked space. Zitone Construction was awarded the bid for $2.1 million to construct the facility in December 2019.
