MO Fire Department Gets $5K Grant to Purchase Equipment

The Marshall Fire Department, in need of a new air compressor, was awarded $5,000 grant from the Monsanto Fund, the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto Company, at a presentation at the Marshall Fire Department on Wednesday, November 30th, according to a recent report from The Marshall Democrat News. 

The department will purchase a new air compressor and a station to fill self-contained breathing apparatus. In the report, Marshall Assistant Fire Chief Tony Day stated,”The grant from the Monsanto Fund will help sustain our fire department’s ability to safely and effectively fight fires and aid other stations in the area.”
