Mabscott (WV) Takes Delivery of New Sutphen Fire Apparatus

The Mabscott (SV) Volunteer Fire Department recently took delivery of its newest fire apparatus, a Sutphen pumper. Much of the equipment on the new fire apparatus was paid for because of the Raleigh County Fire Levy.

According to the department, the new engine will improve its ability to respond to emergencies in adverse weather and over rougher terrain. The new pumper is equipped with a hydraulic all-wheel drive, steep approach and departure angles, a tight turning radius, and other features that make it a versatile apparatus in terms of accessibility.
