KME Adds to Its Sales and Service Network

Nesquehoning, PA—KME has added two companies to its sales and service network. Matheny Motors ( has joined KME as its dealer in Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia. Proliner Rescue Vehicle Sales & Service, of Medford, New York (, will represent KME in Nassau and Suffolk counties in New York.

Matheny Motors was founded in 1922 and is owned and managed by fourth-generation owner Tim Matheny, president. With more than 250 employees and seven facilities located in Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia, Matheny Motors represents Freightliner, Hino, Isuzu, Thomas Bus, Miller Industries, Landoll, MAC Trailers, Buick, and GMC. “As a family-owned business, we are excited to join KME—another successful family-owned business,” says Matheny. “Our companies share a combined 160 years of experience, and this partnership will give fire departments a solid trust in our customer service and KME Fire Apparatus.”

Proliner will represent KME with an experienced sales and service team based from a 20,000-square-foot-facility that includes a showroom, offices and a full repair facility. Proliner Rescue is owned and operated by Billy Georgiou, who is joined by Brian Stone, a longtime member of the fire service. Proliner has more than 16 years experience in the sale and repair of fire apparatus, ambulances, rescue vehicles, and command vehicles and employs certified mechanics, electrical technician,s and collision experts. Proliner also offers custom fabrications, lettering, and striping for Long Island customers. “Our service after the sale is what separates us from the competition,” Georgiou says. “At Proliner Rescue, we know that the fire, rescue, and EMS industries relies on their equipment to perform, and that is why we treat every vehicle as if it were our own.”
