Charges Pending After Driver Strikes Chicago (IL) Fire Department Apparatus in Stolen Vehicle

According to a report from ABC7, a car later found out to be stolen struck the back of a Chicago (IL) Fire Department fire truck Tuesday night in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood.

The driver of the stolen Hyundai Accent was driving the car westbound in the 4900 block of West Belmont when he struck the back of an apparatus as it was pulling back into the station.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition with a head injury and is now in custody with charges pending.
