Car Collides With Fire Truck at Hanover (MA) Accident Scene

HANOVER, MA—A car collided with a fire truck at an accident scene in Hanover Friday, resulting in minor injuries to a firefighter and two civilians, who were taken to the hospital, authorities said.

Hanover Fire says Engine 7 was on its way to an accident on Route 3 southbound when it came across another accident around 10:24 a.m. Friday.

Engine 7 pulled over to help when another car lost control and struck the back of the fire truck, according to fire officials.

According to fire officials, the National Traffic Incident Management Responder Safety Program was recently reviewed by the department and “helped prevent more serious injuries from occurring.”
