High Tech Emergency Vehicle Services is a custom fire apparatus manufacturer located in California. The company builds about 25 fire trucks per year; it is also a dealer for Toyne and EVI.

The company, in business since 1987, builds Type 6, type 3, and Type 1 pumpers as well as rescue trucks. Customers include South San Francisco, Santa Maria, San Jose, Santa Barbara, Geyersville, and Truckee. One department was expected to take delivery of a rig but because of the wildfires raging in California, no one was available to pick up the rig.

According to customer representatives, it takes an average of 1,800 hours to complete a large fire apparatus, but during wildfire season, the company can’t deliver the rigs fast enough.
