Blocking Fire Apparatus Struck in Missouri

A fire truck was hit at the scene of a grass fire in Scott County, Missouri. While working to extinguish the fire, the Sikeston DPS Fire Division positioned an engine to block a lane to protect personnel. The pumper was hit in the rear by an SUV.

Firefighters helped the 85-year-old driver of the striking vehicle get out of the SUV. She was transported to an area hospital but late succumbed to her injuries.
