The cab/chassis are the Dash CF model (tandem aerial-big block) with the TAK-4 Independent Front Suspension System. Seating for 4 is provided. A Danhard A/C unit (15,300-Btu) mounted above the right rear crew door provides auxiliary cooling while parked in the bay. The cab and body are constructed of aluminum, and AMDOR roll-up compartment doors are part of the body package. SCBA bottle storage is located adjacent to the rear wheel wells on each side of the body. The Pierce Command Zone headlines the electrical system featured on the truck.
The truck is powered by a 525-hp Detroit DD13 engine and an Allison 5th Generation 4500 EVS transmission with 6 speeds and pushbutton shifter. A Harrison 6-kW hydraulic generator is mounted above the torque box in the center of the body.
The truck carries a Darley HH-500 pump and a 300-gallon water tank for quick water suppression when necessary. This specification allows for additional space for truck company equipment. The front bumper tray carries 100’ of 1¾-inch hose. There is 300’ of 5-inch LDH in a right rear body tray and 50’ of 3-inch hose.
The aerial is a rear-mount, heavy-duty 105-foot stick constructed of steel with a steel waterway and Stokes box on the right side. A Task Force Tips Monsoon (Model Y4-E21A-L) electric monitor and Task Force Tips Model M-ERP electric nozzle are featured. Tec Niq blue LED lighting adorns the aerial for night time operations. FRC Spectra Lights are mounted on the ladder tip. A full complement of Duo-Safety ground ladders (one 35’ 2-section, one 24’ 2-section, one 16’, one 14’ and one 12’ roof, one 14’ Fresno, and one 10’ folding) are stored in the torque box. Pike poles and backboards are stored in the torque box as well.
The warning lights include four Whelen Freedom IV 21.5-inch light bars (two on the cab corners and two above the crew cab doors) with Whelen M6 and M9 model LED lights located around the rig exterior. Whelen Model MCF LED lights are mounted on the upper rear corners of the truck with a Whelen TANF85 mounted on the rear to provide traffic direction. Scene lighting is provided by FRC LED lights with two on the brow and two on each side of the truck body.
