Tim Olk took these photos of fire apparatus operating at a Park Ridge, Illinois, MABAS box alarm and hazmat box on Northwest Highway at an Oakton, Illinois, vacant gas station.
From Olk: "Firefighters responded to Northwest Highway in Oakton for a fully involved vacant gas station. Firefighters found heavy fire conditions upon arrival fire through the roof. Multiple explosions during this fire made it a defensive operation. Command requested a hazmat box due to unknown chemical inside the building and also multiple 55-gallon drums around the property. Command requested a mass decon set up. Firefighters had to remove their gear and uniforms and put them in plastic bags. Three firefighters were transported with unknown injuries."
