Photographer Steve Redick was on location at these two Illinois fires, on in Chicago and the other in Schiller Park.
From Redick about the Chicago job:
"Yesterday was a perfect day to take in this job. Not much to see fire-wise but many excellent photo opportunities. Some of the highlights: 84 with a unique position, 116 and 50 with new rigs, and TL37 working." From Redick about the Schiller Park fire:
"Had a chance to take in an unusual job on Wednesday...a records building/chapel in a large cemetery. There were roofers working on the building at the time and I imagine that related to the fire's origin. The sole water supply was from the Schiller Park engine, which supplied two 2½-inch lines and LDH. The fire consumed the entire roof and attic area and was ultimately contained by a tower ladder stream from Norwood Park."
